Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP Nurse) to join our dedicated team. As an integral part of our maternal health team, you will ensure a safe and supportive environment, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to changes in condition. You will assist in labor and delivery procedures, provide post-delivery care and support, and educate patients on prenatal and postnatal care, including breastfeeding and infant care.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor labor progress: assess contraction patterns, fetal heart tones, and cervical dilation
  • Provide labor support: offer pain management and emotional support during labor
  • Assist in deliveries: support vaginal deliveries, ensuring the safety of mother and baby
  • Perform newborn care: assess and support newborns, including Apgar scoring and initial bonding
  • Monitor postpartum recovery: ensure maternal stability, monitor for complications, and provide postpartum education
  • Collaborate with care team: work with obstetricians, midwives, and other professionals to create a care plan
  • Document patient care: maintain accurate records of labor, medications, and complications
  • Educate patients: provide education on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
  • Respond to emergencies: manage obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation when necessary
  • Support families: provide emotional support and keep families informed during the process

Requirements:

  • Fully authorized to work in the U.S. (VISA sponsorship NOT available)
  • Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program with ADN, BSN, or MSN
  • Maintain current CEU’s as required by state licensure
  • At least 2-3 years of recent L&D, Mother-Baby, or NICU experience


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active Nursing License in the state of practice
  • Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required upon hire
  • Must obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within 3 months of hire
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring certification preferred


Additional Details:

  • Day shift (7a – 7p) and Night shift (7p – 7a) availabilities

Benefits:

  • Pay Scale: $51.50/hr – $81.52/hr, based on education and years of experience
    • 15% weekend differential
    • 6% weekend differential
  • Three 12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
